IAN BURR CREATIVE

I am a Kalamazoo College graduate and current graduate student at the University of Indianapolis with a lifelong passion for creation. It wasn’t until three years ago when I picked up a camera, that my life truly changed. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to developing my skills, gaining invaluable experience through internships at Greenpoint Pictures in Brooklyn and Small Victories in Manhattan, where I worked on the Netflix documentary American Conspiracy: The Octopus Murders.

On this website, I showcase a range of projects spanning videography, photography, and graphic design. My background as a college football player has shaped my work ethic and unique perspective, which I bring to every project. I believe every story deserves to be told, and my ultimate goal is to direct my own feature film. Through this site, I hope you gain insight into my work and who I am as a creator.

Working Under Pressure

While at Greenpoint Pictures (GP) I was tasked to work with three other interns to put together a video project. We ended up shooting a short film, the first short film that an intern group has made for GP. When writing was finished we only had a week till it was due. I was able to direct and edit four days of shooting and turn in a finished project that the company loved.

Collaboration

Growing up around sports my whole life teamwork and collaboration has always been a part of who I am. From playing four sports in high school to now playing college football teamworks has been everywhere I go. I strongly believe that in a creative field you can not do everything yourself. To create good projects you need help and I am not afraid to ask for help and leg go of some control to create the best project possible.

Passion

When I fall in love with something I will not stop till I’m the best I can be. The second I picked up a camera I set out to create the best things I can. I show the same passion to the people I work with and the clients I work for. If I am working with you or for you I am all in on whatever we are doing. When I start a project I will do everything in my power to put together something that is compelling and up to the standards of the client.
